4/14/2013 (Sunday)
We woke up at 6 am starting to pack up to leave Tucson. Ryan dropped by very early mentioned to Tom he could not find the title of the RV. He suspected that Sam took it. He told him to go back and wait in the RV and Tom will drop by later with the battery to help him start the RV.
We finished packing by noon. We drove our truck to the front door of the yard and locked the gate. Tom took our RV battery and small tank of gas and went to help Ryan starting his RV. After spending 30 minutes, he got Ryan RV started by keeping on priming the carberator . He then drove it next to our front fence. After a little while, the guy from the yard on which Ryan resided for a year came over and started yelling and choke hold Ryan to the ground. Ryan was in pain and some bleeding that he decided to call the emergency. After a while police and ambulance came. Police asked Tom what had happened. Seemed like that guy is going to jail.
While Ryan was waiting for the police. Tom went back to the shed and stabled down the temporary plastic tarp some more because he forgot to staple down between the 2 tarps. It took almost an hour.
We did not started to go back to California until 1:45pm.
We went to Food City to buy a bag of ice to put into our ice chest. We head to the I-10 West, we passed the Pheonix to the city name Avondale. Tom saw the In-N-Out Burger and went in for lunch.
I drove to Quartzsite Pilot for gas fill up, then we went to McDonald's to use the bathroom. When we went out Tom met an old guy driving a Tioga from Oklahoma. Tom asked him if he heard of Tioga George. He said he never heard of him. He said he ran out of food and money for gas. Tom offered him $5 and some food.
We kept on driving, after we passed the WinCo Food we got hit by a sand storm. Without any warning we have wind and sand blowing up to 60 mph. I used Tom phone to take a video. While I took the video I saw the Motel 6 room ad sign showing $99.99 a night. I was surprised to see the rate was so high for Motel 6, but after we gone through the sand storm. I think this rate was kind of reasonable.
Tom felt very sleepy so we stop by the Morongo Casino to take a short nap. About an hour later, he woke up and started driving. Not too long from driving, Tom felt sleepy again. Tom had to stop before Fontana to nap for few hours until 4:30 a.m. in the morning. Tom drove to Newhall around 6:00 a.m.. We found the McDonald's for breakfast. We arrived home in the afternoon.

Tucson Spring Building - (Day 23)
4/13/2013 (Saturday)
Tom is telling Ryan to move to our land from Alma's yard so he could save some rent. Ryan came over to discuss about it. Tom had him working at the door together. It took about 2 hours to put up the door. That was excluded the time Tom spent on cutting the wood and panel in the morning.
We took Ryan to laundramat near Tucson Estate. We dropped him off and went shopping for hardware for the door. We told him we will pick him up later.

Tucson Spring Building - (Day 22)
4/12/13 (Friday) - Weather: Warm, feel like about 82 degree
Ryan told us last night he will come over to our place as soon as he
hears our sawing of the wall panel. When we
started sawig around 10:00 a.m., he did not show up. So we kept on working our front door section until it past 12:00 p.m. Ryan still did not show up. Tom told me I should walk
over to his class c and checked on him.
When I walked over to his RV, I saw Alma dog name Niko sleeping under Ryan RV. I walked pass by the dog and knocked on his door and calling Ryan name. After I
tried it several time, he finally open the door for me. I asked him did you forget
about us, he asked me, what time is it now? I told him it is already past 12:30
p.m., I saw him got his hat and wanted to follow me. I told him you need to clean
up before you came over and help us. Then I walked back and told Tom Ryan was
over slept and he must had a party last night.
When Ryan came over, he told
us that he met his friend at the bar. He had a few drink and playing pool, he did
not get back home until it was past 1:00 a.m. in the morning. He told us he
never got up this late, he usually get up around 7 or 8 a.m. in the morning.
He said this morning he did wake up several time, but he saw outside was dark, so he
thought it was still early. Tom still had not finished working on the door frame.
So I was talking to Ryan about his family. I learned that he had a older brother and 2 sisters.
An hour later, He and Ryan started putting up the side panel even before Tom finished the front door section. When he and Tom finished those panels, Tom had him wait and talk to Mel while he finished the front section. Tom finally finished the section after dark. And they finished the panel on the door section.

Tucson Spring Building - (Day 21)
4/11/13 (Thursday) - Weather: Warm but not hot, feel like 83
degree
This morning we had
a helper named Ryan from next door, he live in a RV on Alma
parking lot. He asked Tom if we need some help. He is running out of money,
he would like to work for some cash. Tom offered him $20 to screw down the roof deck plus we are buying
him lunch. Ryan accepted this offer
and came over to help us. So we both can slow down for a day. He is doing acceptable work under Tom instruction.
I had time to start
writing this journal. Around 1:00 p.m. I drove our truck to Circle K to fill up
the truck and the 5 gallon tank. Then I went to McDonalds to buy us lunches. By
the time I got back it was around 1:15 p.m. and we sit down under the shade to
have our lunch while we were talking.
After he helped us finishing the roof, Tom asks Ryan if he can stayed longer to help out for the wall panel. Ryan said okay. But he told us that tomorrow he needs to go to the gun range to get some paperwork. He helped us until past 8:00 p.m.. We asked him to come over to help us finish the remaining wall panels in the morning. We gave him $40 plus Tom dropped him off the Circle K near Tucson Estate so he could do some shopping and make phone call. When Tom came back, he took a shower before we had Korean BBQ for dinner.

Tucson Spring Building - (Day 20)
4/10/13 (Wednesday) - Weather: cool weather, feel like 72
degree
Both of us woke up with ache all over in our body, because we were
working like crazy yesterday. We did not got up
until past 8:00a.m. Then we have cinnamon toasters cereal with milk for breakfast.
Tom started putting
metal angle brackets to anchor the roof deck. He used 8 screws on each one. There is a total of 16 metal angle brackets.
We needed to move all the 3/4 thick OSB onto the roof of our shed. We set up the 2x10x8 woods as platform on both ladder. We clamped to the ladder to hold it tight. So we had a safer bridge for us to walk on while we were moving the roof deck T&G materials. Since we have this bridge, it was much easy for us the put the T&G on top of the shed. By the time we finished moving the T&G, it was already dark. We will screw the T&G down tomorrow and cut the two small pieces of T&G for 2 corners.
When we went back inside our trailer, it was only 7:30p.m., but we were too tired to continue to work. Before I took a quick shower, I pulled out the food for the hot pot to unfreeze. While I was preparing my food, Tom gave Odie and Ben Ben a shower. After he had done, I dried both of the cats, so Tom could continued to take the shower.
