Day 5 - To Algodones, Mexico

We had bacon, eggs and bread again for breakfast. Tom wanted to go hiking again, but Melanie and Lawrence were too tired to go, so Tom decided to go to Mexicali to buy HBP pills. We used highway 78. On the way there we were hungry so we stop by the Sonic in El Centro for lunch. We found out that they cost a lot to buy a 10mg with 100 tabs, cost $22.99 a bottle. Tom walked around the street and looking for a bwtter price, but they were all the same, either they didn’t have it or about the same high price. And the expiration date was too short also. So Tom decided to go to Algodones. But Tom had to drive fast to get there, because it was already 4:00 p.m. in the afternoon. By the time we were there it was past 6 p.m. Most stores were already closed, because today was Sunday, and they closed at 4:00 p.m. Only few stores ware open late, we found one store name Grupo Lizuis on the corner was still open, they didn’t close until 10 p.m. It only cost $13.44 for two 100 mg bottles and I bought a hair color for only $3.61 each. Tom bought another bottle at another store for $9.80. After that we drove to Yuma El Pollo Loco for dinner which was same as last year. We went to get some gas. It was verycheap at $1.59/gallon. On the way back we stopped by Walmart in Brawley, and I bought Chips Ahoy, Donuts, Orange Juice. We went back to our site very late past 11:15 p.m. It was too late to start the generator. We couldn’t turn on the heater for the night. We had to sleep in cold that night.
