Day 1 - Trip to Ansa Borrego Springs

We went to Chi shop around 11 a.m., cause Chi told Tom that he will be leaving soon. Tom found out the vespel material was not thick enough. So we went to bank for cash and deposit Tom ktc paycheck. Then we went to library to return the book, after that we went back home and start loading the RV. We left the house in late afternoon, we stop by Gilroy Costco to get gas. We stopped at Lost Hills to get gas bypass the high priced 198/5 intersection. Lawrence estimated miles was wrong, he told Tom from Gilroy to Lost Hills was 190 miles, instead it was 160 miles.
We reached Flying J (Lebec) around 8:00 p.m. Tom said we should slept here tonight, cause the wind was blowing 30-40 miles per hour. Our RV battery cover was blown away by the wind. Tom used the plastic bag and rubber band to cover the battery and it worked until we got our battery box. Also we needed some propane, but Flying J worker told Tom we need to wait until daytime to fill propane tank. (Flying J gas was expensive at $1.97/per gallon due to bankruptcy filing). Across the road at Shell was $1.8 something.
