Oregon summer trip (Day 2)

7/18/2011 (Monday)

We woke up and Tom cleaned up the sand box.  Tom and I walked to the Dollars Tree store.  In the front section we both saw the Cracker Jack in big bags (7 oz).  At the end of the store there was a Lysol cleaner which will cost at the regular store for $2.99.  So I bought one too to clean our bathroom.  We got gas for the price of $3.86/gal. at the Shell and we got our propane at the U-Haul $3.00/gal.  When we reached Willits we saw a Safeway gasoline station showing $3.58/gal. . If you have the Safeway card it would be 3 cents less.  We would get gas from here next time we pass here.

When we arrived at Eureka, once again we went inside the Eureka Mall to have our Lunch.  Then we walked to the Dollars Tree which was no longer there and it became Dollars Only. While Lawrence read books inside Border, we finished looking in the Dollars Only and went back to our trailer to take a nap.  By the time we woke up I called Lawrence cell phone but all I got was the message only.  So I went inside the store and found Lawrence, I checked with his cell phone.  I noticed he did not have any bar, that why he could not get my phone call.  We started driving again. When we saw a Groceries Outlet, we stopped and shop there. Closed to the edge of the city Tom filled up 5 gallons of gas for $4.09 so we could get to the border of Oregon.  The GPS said there was a Wal-Mart store in Crescent City, but when we arrived it was a residential area.  Tom read from the internet there was an Elk Valley Casino around there, so we drove there using the GPS.  When we arrived we entered a side road too soon, we missed the entrance and had to drive around to get to the casino. We registered and drove to a dirt parking area a little away from the main parking lot. We cooked and made the rear bed for the night.
