Tucson Winter Trip - (Day 6) - Dry Creek - West side of town

12/23/12 (Sunday)

We went to Univ. of Arizona in the morning. We parked our truck near the west entry of campus where there were many little stores next to the street. We walked around the campus and saw the bookstores was open. I bought one t-shirt with Univ. of Arizona College of Law printing on it. Because my son told me he wants to become a lawyer. By the time we left the bookstores it was already 3:30 p.m..

Today we decided to look for the house instead of land. We went to West Floyd St, it is a wooden floor house, we just want to look at the house. (sale for $45,600) The back yard was small and very close to next door neighbor.

Next we went to West Edmond St. (ask for $22,400). It was in bad condition. The shirk which look like stone was broken and look awful to me. Then we drove to West Iowa Street (which I thought this was a brick house, ask for $39,900) This was an old house, built in 1973.

I wanted to go see this house on South Angels Breath Dr.  Because it was the newest house on our list. It was already dark and we want a take a short cut. On the way, I was surprised to see a nice house next to the dirt road with deep pot holes. Tom kept driving on the dirt road but did not got to the exit. The road got very rough, bushy and sandy. So we turned around and tried to find another exit.We saw a gas station across a dry creek. Tom walked across the dry creek to check if our truck would be able to pass the creek. Luckily we were able to cross the dry creek. We found the house nearby. I like the feature of the house, but the back yard was very small. We find out that you need to pay the $22 association fee. (two week late 12/31/12 when we look at the web site it was not for sale anymore)

We went to the Desert Diamond Casino for buffet dinner. The food were not that great. Only the prime ribs and cheese cakes were good. After that we went back to our trailer and watch some TV. Then we decided to go to Walmart for a look. Because we were full and I want to walk around before we went to bed.
