Oregon Coast summer trip - (Day 3) - Trinidad to Brookings

7/9/12 (Monday)

In the morning, we walked to the casino to get some coffee and played the Black Jack game again.  I only put in $2 and ended up losing it all.  We ate rice cake for breakfast. Next Tom drove to South of Crescent City next to the Beach and Tom stopped the trailer and went back to sleep for a little while.  While I am waiting for Tom to get up, I was reading a Chinese book and I look out from my trailer window a mom with a little kid come back from the beach.  After the mom drying up the kid and herself, she started putting the stuff on the back of her car.  While this is happening, Tom was waking up from his sleep.  Tom drove another 20 miles passed the border to Oregon before we arrived at the city of Brookings.

We went to the Beach Front RV Park and picked the site #51 and stayed for two days which cost $24/a day the price was up $2 from last year.  This site had water and electricity hook up but no sewage drain.  I walked to the office and paid with my credit card and went back to the site and help Tom to unload the trailer.

After that Tom took a shower with both cats, I want to take a shower too, but all the hot water was used up.  So we went to the Fred Meyer first then I took a shower after we come back.  Before we went to the store, Tom needed to fill the gas up for his truck and one Propane tank in the Harbor Chevron up the street. It cost $1.89/per gallon/ totals 4.7 gallon ($8.70) for propane.  Next Tom drove to the Ron Oil Co gas station to fill up his truck and the 2 gallons plastic gas can.  After that we went to the Fred Meyer for shopping, I noticed that the pillow was on sale. It is buy one get the second ½ off.  I also saw a new doormat which would replace the old one in the trailer.  On the way to the check out, the lady who worked nearby told us there was a 10% off for all Home supply in the ad.  I ended up saving $11.55 for two pillows and one doormat.   We had roast beef with french bread and potato chip for dinner we bought from Fred Meyer.  I cleaned up all the dishes and start writing this Journal.  Then I washed up and go to the bed.
