Yuma - Mexico summer trip- (Day 18) - visited Monterey Park and home

7/26/10 (Monday)

I woke up at 6:00 a.m. in the morning. I went outside to clean up the cat box. Not too long I heard that were some smoking Asian men talking about how difficult it is to taking public bus to work. Then 10 minutes later they were picked up by a minivan and went to work. Tom woke up at 7:00 a.m. and we moved the trailer a little closer to Garfield Blvd on Garvey Ave.

We walked to the store to buy some sesame ball and oil fries stick for breakfast. Then Tom drove the trailer next to the market in San Gabriel Blvd/Garvey to have porridge and oil fries stick.

Then we drove to the market in North San Gabriel and parked along the Valley Blvd. I saw a big bus parked there to take people to Indian casino. I was not too welcome to park near them. We bought some thousand year egg cake which cost two for $1.39, I bought three orders. We moved our trailer away from those big buses to a small street across the Valley Blvd so we could buy some pearl milk drink and walked around the area some more. Mel bought two pearl mill teas for Lawrence breakfast. We walked to Hawaiian supermarket 2 blocks away to buy some groceries including some pickled ginger slices. When we came back, Tom saw a parking police woman looking at our trailer. She then told Tom that it was parked more than 18 in from the curb. Tome told her it was impossible to park near the curb because of the tree and the different width between the trailer and our much smaller truck. She said we should moved to a better parking. But Tom said there were no other suitable parking. Then she become funny and Mel also joined in to change to other unrelated subject. She bless us safe trip home before she left.

After Lawrence finished eating we bought two more pearl milk tea before we headed for the road. Tom drove all the way to Gilroy and felt very tired, so we went to the Gilroy's Walmart supercenter for shopping while Tom could sleep for a while. I bought more sweet tea, because this was the only place I knew to have this drink. After an hour later, we went back to the trailer and Tom went to the gas station nearby and fill up two more gallon of gas in case we did not have enough to get home. On the way home Odie was mowing all the way home, I guessed he wanted to know when we will be home.
